Thank you.

It’s hard to imagine that we’ve celebrated 10 years of putting together what is now the largest and longest running queer comics and pop culture convention in the world.

What started with “wouldn’t it be cool” has grown into two days, 3 floors, over 50 panels/workshops/performances, an expanded Gaymer Lounge, hundreds of exhibitors, a sold out after party, and let’s not forget the thousands of attendees there to enjoy it all.

We often say that Flame Con exists because we will it into existence, and that isn’t hyperbole.

We wouldn’t be here without the countless people who volunteer their free time throughout the year organizing and planning, or the people who give up part of their weekend to help with registration, line management, and making sure panels are running smoothly. But Flame Con wouldn’t be this magical place of amazing queer art and stories without the wonderful exhibitors, some who’ve been to countless conventions and some who this is their first experience behind the table, all sharing their talents and gifts for everyone to enjoy.

We hope everyone had a great weekend, learned something new at a panel/workshop/performance, gained an appreciation for the hard work that went into creating amazing queer art, and either found or cemented friendships to carry you through another year until we meet again.

We want to thank our sponsors, Mad Cave Studios, Rainbow Crate, Yen Press, Bluestockings Cooperative, Hero Forge, Lord of the Rings: The War of Rohirrim, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Dark Horse Comics, Kickstarter, Uber/Postmates, and Harper Collins.

And we especially want to thank all of you for coming to Flame Con this year. We look forward to celebrating 10 more years of queer geeky joy with you all!
